Hello. We’re the human intelligence folk.

This is a page for “human intelligence creators”, professionals who’re concerned about AI and do not want to use it in their work. Our direct url is hifolk.co.uk.

Research published by the University of Washington in 2021 found AI applications, on top of having huge environmental costs, to be unreliable: biased on gender, race and income, with LLMs being impossible to audit and identify training sources – amplifying dominant voices and homogenising language and culture, as English is selected by default.

In early 2026, Guri Singh wrote on today’s LLMs validating the Bender, Gebru et al paper ‘On the Dangers of Stochastic Parrots’, University of Washington, 2021. Guri mentioned: “In 2024, Google’s emissions were up 48% from 2019, and the company explicitly blamed AI infrastructure. Microsoft’s were up 29%, same reason.”
